Diagnosing NETs
There are several subtypes of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). Each subtype secretes different hormones that cause different symptoms, making diagnosis difficult. Diagnosis can be based on symptoms as well as on blood and urine tests that measure the amounts of certain hormones in the body. This discussion provides guidance on how to recognise the signs and symptoms common to the disease and on how to confirm the diagnosis of NETs.
